Fruit

New York State is the second-leading apple producing state in the US, so it's no surprise that apples are a large part of the Ontario County fruit industry, along with grapes and strawberries. The Lake Ontario Fruit Program supports the commercial fruit industry in Ontario County by delivering research-based information and service. The program strives to develop and implement new production practices that are environmentally and economically sound.
