January 31, 2007 @ 6:30 pm FREE Admission Contact: Sean Welsh, 877-292-5250 ext.108 Family Caregivers Holiday Celebration December 1, 2006, 6-9pm Cornell Cooperative Extension of Sullivan County, Liberty, NY National Family Caregivers Month (NFC Month) — observed every November — is a nationally recognized month celebrated to draw attention to the many challenges facing family caregivers and raise awareness about community programs that support family caregivers. NFC Month is a time to thank, support, educate, and celebrate more than 50 million family caregivers across the country. Holiday music and entertainment by the delightful Mr. Eric Bressi or “Elvis’ Lost Brother” will highlight the evening, which also includes a light supper, dancing and door prizes! This will be a special evening for unpaid family caregivers of elderly persons with any illness or disability, as well as for families or individuals who are coping with Alzheimer’s disease. A minimum of ten participants is required for this event to be held. Hosted by the Caregiver Resource Center (a program of Cornell Cooperative Extension and the Office for the Aging) and the Hudson Valley/Rockland/Westchester NY Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
